Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the period drama'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". Additionally, she's famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin started her acting career when she was seven. Her aunt, who worked as the nanny for actor Michael Landon's children, helped her land an unimportant role in the TV show Father Murphy. After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more seriously. She landed significant roles on TV as well as big screens. Martin has a background as an actor and a skilled dancer and photographer, has been working in the field for the past 20 years. As a mother to two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about the disease since her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
